The start: quest of meaning
A few years ago, a group of friends started reflecting on the meaning of life, the true aim… the more we went deeper, life seemed senseless and shallow. However, we have been blessed by the opportunity to see the need in people and work on fulfilling them. Step by step, we got to know that helping others make us surpass our problems, stop fighting our own ghosts and stumbling in our small steps.
The decision was made: we were going to walk against the flow.
The mission: go against the flow
As we were living in glass bubbles, we rarely had the chance to see the real need in others. We have decided to look for a deeper meaning in a kind of robotic life; therefore we started searching the streets, looking for needs, knocking on doors, and getting acquainted with people regardless of their class, religion or identity…
The organization: the step further
With days and acquaintances, we found that many are those who look for a meaning in this life, and would really like to help but just don’t know how. Therefore “Oui pour la Vie” as in the equivalent of “For Life” was established to create an essential framework to our activities. Today our expanding group is working on securing donations, and helping people unable to directly address other organizations.
